The Academy at Glengary is an accredited program with Clubhouse International and is part of a worldwide network of over 300 Clubhouse programs in 32 countries. The Academy, first and foremost, is a working community, where opportunities for skill development, friendship, and employment are the means by which Academy members pursue their dreams and goals. Academy members are valued for their skills and talents, while embarking on a journey to wellness and recovery. Training opportunities are offered in culinary arts, hospitality, phone reception, business, maintenance/janitorial, customer service, accounting/banking, videography and graphic design. In addition, the Academy offers opportunities for socialization, fun and relaxation on evening, weekend and holiday events. Thanks to a unique collaboration between public and private sectors, the Academy engages community leaders, family members, businesses, human service providers and employment partners in the transformational process of helping our members lead productive and meaningful lives. Current Employment Partners include Sarasota Memorial Healthcare, Public Defenders Office, the Pines of Sarasota, Sunset Cadillac and Doctors Hospital.
