Center for Integrated Quantum Materials
ciqm.harvard.eduThe Center for Integrated Quantum Materials (CIQM) is an NSF Science and Technology Center studying extraordinary new quantum materials with striking 'non-conventional' properties with the promise to transform signal processing and computation. We are committed to attracting young students to science and engineering, and to provide them with exciting opportunities to become future leaders. Our Center's research and education programs will bring together a diverse community to address these challenges that involves undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral associates, and professors. Vision: Our Center's Vision is to create atomic-scale devices and systems based on quantum materials that enable quantum sensing, quantum communication, and quantum computation. Education Mission Statement: Develop education, outreach, and professional development programs that leverage the strengths of Center partners and prepare students to become leaders in the field of quantum materials through outstanding performance in research, education, collaboration and outreach. Knowledge Transfer Mission Statement: Develop effective mechanisms and pathways to facilitate intellectual exchange, form productive partnerships, instill a strong culture of commercialization including entrepreneurship, and reduce the time-to-first-use for the Center technologies and ideas.
