CATARC Europe Testing and Certification GmbH was established in February 2019 in order to provide better and more efficient service on the European market. It is 100% owned by China Automotive Technology & Research Center Co., Ltd. (CATARC), a comprehensive science and technology corporation in the automotive industry in China and beyond. CATARC Europe serves as a bridgehead in CATARC`s international business and aims to support the automotive industry in Europe in its dealings with the Chinese market and entry regulations. A team of experienced specialists can consult and support our partners and clients in the matter of certifications, tests, standards, and procedural steps necessary when working in China. Hereby, we draw on the potential of our mother company CATARC and its many subsidiaries. CATARC`s business fields cover industrial service, standards, policy research, testing, engineering technology research and development, certification, big data, engineering design and general contracting, consultation, new energy vehicles, commercialized and strategic rising businesses and other fields. CATARC serves different players in the field: The government in providing standardization and technical regulations, auto manufacturer and product catalog management, investment project evaluation and management of vehicle identification numbers (VIN) and world manufacturer identifiers (WMI). It is further responsible for comprehensive testing covering whole vehicle tests, C-NCAP, C-ECAP, proving ground and vehicle forensic authentication.
