Kelly's journey was long, she took out (a lot of) student loans to study abroad and get through college - ensuring she had the true college experience along the way. After making payments for eight years, Kelly barely made a dent and she had had enough! During this time, she was in West Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer and saw first hand what true poverty looked like. She mentored small businesses on tracking expenses, logging revenue and staying out of debt. This is where she first realized that we can do better, and we must! Debt does not have to be a part of life and she did everything imaginable to get out of it.
