Western Riverina Arts (WRA) is a not-for-profit organisation that works in partnership with our member councils: Narrandera Shire Council, Leeton Shire Council, Griffith City Council and Murrumbidgee Shire Council to support, develop and promote the Arts in the Western Riverina. Formally launched in 2011 WRA is part of a network of 14 Regional Arts Boards in NSW, coordinated by Regional Arts NSW. Western Riverina Arts is funded by the NSW State Government through Create NSW, and through contributions from its Member Councils. With a population of over 40,000 people and several high profile artists the Western Riverina has an active, diverse and rich cultural life. Western Riverina Arts is the peak arts conduit organisation in the region and aims to support the needs and culture of our communities, acting to ensure the vitality and sustainablity of arts and culture by: • Developing audiences • Encouraging Community Capacity • Developing Pathways for Artists • Promoting Cultural Events • Initiating Project Activity • Provide Pathways for Artists and creative Communities • Strengthening regional cultural development • Connecting creative Communities
