Africathletics is an Italian NGO run by passionate people aiming at increasing education and life opportunities in Malawi through the power of sport. Since 2015, through an accurate selection based on athletic and academic criteria, we provide scholarships to primary school students aged from 6 to 12. The scholarships holders are supported by a program encompassing different areas such as education, nutrition and sport, which play a fundamental role in the children’s development. The long-term goal of Africathletic’s project is to foster education and support the psychophysical growth of school-age children in the rural part of Malawi, which can increase their life opportunities in the long term. At the same time, the project aims at raising awareness and a modus operandi among the community members in regard to educational, health, food and sports habits.
