Wings for Kids is on a mission to equip at-risk kids with the social emotional skills they need to succeed in school, stay in school, and thrive in life. Since 1996, we have dedicated ourselves to helping close the opportunity and achievement gap for under-resourced children by providing a safe place to stay after school and fostering the perseverance, resilience and optimism needed to navigate and cope with life’s challenges. Headquartered in Charleston, SC, Wings for Kids is recognized as a national expert in social emotional learning and operates afterschool programs in Title I elementary schools in Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, Charleston, SC, and Columbia, SC. Additionally, WINGS works in partnership with other schools and organizations across the country that seek to implement effective social emotional learning initiatives and has provided free curriculum to teachers nationwide, reaching more than 2.6 million to date.
