The Cardozo ADR Competition Honor Society (ADRCHS) is a student-run mooting team and honor society led primarily by its 3L Executive Board, with the support of faculty advisors. Formed in 2014, ADRCHS provides an opportunity for future attorneys to learn and master the art of effective dispute resolution. ADRCHS selects approximately fifteen to twenty competitors each year from the rising 2L class. The selected students begin their exposure to negotiation, mediation, and arbitration theory by attending an in-depth training called “ADR Moot Camp,” prior to the fall semester. During Moot Camp, they cultivate the foundational skills for resolving legal disputes from professors and experts in the field, including Lela P. Love, Andrea Schneider, David J. Weisenfeld and Peter A. Halprin. The students continue their training during the academic year through an executive board-run course concurrent with preparation for domestic and international competitions. These competitions simulate real life negotiation, representation in mediation, mediation, and arbitration models for resolving disputes. Coaches include 3L executive board members, alumni, Cardozo Law faculty members and practitioners in the field. For their work, students are eligible to receive academic credit on par with journals. In addition, the ADRCHS hosts an annual intra-school negotiation competition. The event, which is open to all Cardozo students each spring, provides an excellent insight to competition preparation and experience. 2022-2023 Board [Current] Editor-in-Chief: Ilona Ehrlich Managing Editor: Alec Neimand Executive Editors: Jason Siev, Mieola Easter Problem Editors: Charles Iwuoha, Hannah Petitti Senior Editors: Victoria Budhan, Maurice Elbaz, Lisa Gluzman, Janice Kwon, Jaimie Mayer, Noah Page, Se Won Park, Steven Schwartz Sydney Schwartz, Carly Shapiro, Jordan Stark
