OneWest, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation that is establishing new pathways to private and public capital, in an effort to generate sustainable economic development and neighborhood revitalization in west Louisville, in partnership with community residents. We focus on land use, infrastructure, urban design and the overall experience the built environment creates for a community’s residents, businesses and visitors. OneWest's four areas of focus: 1. Act as a community development corporation focused on commercial/mixed use development that delivers significant, visible impact, captures market opportunity, and offers commercial amenities that strengthen west Louisville as a place to live. Our early focus will be the West Broadway/18th Street commercial district. 2. Assist in the capacity building of other organizations working in west Louisville, particularly those engaged in housing development, minority entrepreneurship, and small business development. 3. Advocate for responsible investment, financial commitments, and policies that support west Louisville and its residents. 4. Practice ongoing engagement with the west Louisville community and assure that any development activities sponsored by OneWest are responsive to the needs and priorities expressed by west Louisville residents.
