Leonard Cheshire in Northern Ireland
www.leonardcheshire.orgThrough a range of community based services and supported living facilities we assist around 600 people each year. We have six supported living services across Northern Ireland providing individual flats and packages of personal care. Some properties incorporate personalised assistive technology, helping people to live as independently as possible. Our supported living services can be found at: - Taylor/Cheshire House (Belfast) - The Maples (Belfast) - Springfield Court (Belfast) - The Meadows (Banbridge) - Cheshire Mews (Lurgan) - Cheshire House (Derry/Londonderry) Leonard Cheshire in Northern Ireland also offers community support at home in the Western Trust area, a skills based development programme called Can Do for 16-35 year olds living with disability and a person-centred advocacy service for any person in the region who experiences disability hate crime. We are launching our seventh regional service in Belfast in January 2020, which will provide specialist treatment and rehabilitation for people with alcohol related brain injuries (ARBI). The ARBI unit is completely pioneering and the first of its kind in Northern Ireland offering residents life-changing treatment to potentially reverse their condition.
