Founded in 1876 by Noah T. Byars, First Baptist Church has served the Brown County area by meeting the needs of our community through faith and educational efforts. FBC has maintained a close relationship with Howard Payne University from its founding to present day. Having started multiple churches and sent representatives throughout our nation and around the world, FBC is entering into an exciting phase of revitalization and rejuvenation under the leadership of Dr. Mark Towns.
