It is the mission of the Dallas Chamber Symphony to engage community audiences and enrich people’s lives by sharing in the discovery, creation, exploration, and enjoyment of great music. We will accomplish this mission and make a dramatic impact on the downtown arts scene by presenting diverse concert experiences to Dallas audiences in the brand new City Performance Hall. The DCS is committed to building a chamber orchestra that performs a distinctive balance of programs that include both underrepresented and standard repertory. Throughout the concert season, the DCS will also perform high-quality concerts of contemporary music, staged works, and and pieces with extra-musical elements, such as film, actors, dancers, and narrators. Our unique interpretations will produce novel concert experiences in an exclusive and intimate setting through programs that are designed to compliment, rather than compete with the Dallas arts scene.
