The Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) is run and managed by the Missoula County Airport Authority (MCAA). Formed in 1977 as an independent Authority of Missoula County and tasked with management of the day-to-day operations of the Missoula Airport to address the region’s long-term air transportation needs. MSO is self-supported; no local tax revenues are used for the administration, promotion, operation, or maintenance of the airport. The airport employs around 50 professionals with various skillsets to support the operation of the airport.
