Founded in 2005, Roxy Therapy Dogs is an all volunteer non-profit group of certified emotional therapy dog owners/handlers who volunteer their time visiting children. Their visits include bringing comfort to children testifying at the local courthouse, promoting literacy/providing relief to elementary school children in the Central Bucks School District in their classrooms, providing joy to medically frail children at Pedia Manor, and visiting pediatric patients at Doylestown Health. 79 teams are read to by 3200 children each week. Visits are absolutely no charge and the organization relies exclusively on donations for its operating expenses.
