NanoPhoria is a start-up biotech company devoted to the clinical development of a new and proprietary drug-delivery system for the tissue-directed delivery of therapeutically active biologics such as peptides, RNAs or DNAs. The core vehicle is an inorganic Calcium-Phosphate nanoparticle (CaP) which represents a versatile, non-viral, biomimetic nano-carrier that can be loaded and/or surface decorated with the active biologics and can be formulated for a wide range of parenteral administrations, targeting distinct diseased organs. The first therapeutic application of the CaP nanoparticles-based drug-delivery platform is represented by our lead product NP-MP1, an innovative and promising treatment for heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Other projects in our R&D pipeline are using the nanoparticle-based drug delivery platform to treat pulmonary and intestinal diseases.
