The Radon Council was formed in 1990 as an Independent non-profit making self-regulatory body for the radon protection industry. The Radon Council's objectives are to provide training courses in best practices for working with radon gas and to identify "cowboy" operators. The Council also has an agreed Code of Practice for the industry and offers an Approved List of Contractors offering advice and services involving remedial work for radon gas.
