www.life-community.orgAnnually, Life Community serves over 1,000 children and families from low-income and/or dysfunctional backgrounds through four core programmes. Our programmes focus on intervention work, including preventive, remedial and holistic development (character, moral values, social and emotional well-being) to reduce potential problems such as crime, drug abuse and poor academic, physical, social and mental health. Our aim is for our beneficiaries to build strong foundations in their growing years and to reach their fullest potential, with resilience and purpose, later in life. ________ Life Community has four core programmes, which has a focus on intervention work, care and mentoring. 1) FRIENDS OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH: Intervention approach combined with mentoring, food rations, care and support for children and youths of parent/s presently/formerly. Their ages range from 7 to 19 years old. 2) MIGHTYKFC: Providing a safe space, with mentoring, interest-based activities and workshops, targeted counselling, food and home visits for children and youths from Telok Blangah region 3) EDUGROW FOR BRIGHTER TOMORROWS: Strengthen social mobility of children from low-income families by adopting a relational approach where community mentors are matched to the child, supporting their aspirational, character, educational, financial and relational growth. This is a joint project with WeCare@MarineParade. 4) LIFE STUDENT CARE : After-school care for children whose parents require additional support, in an environment akin to a second home.
