HERE SINCE THE BEGINNING For almost 60 years, United Way of Brazoria County (UWBC) has been on the frontlines of the obstacles facing Brazoria County. From addressing the hardships of poverty and the needs of the working poor to Disaster Response & Recovery, UWBC surrounds our most critical problems, and we fight. UWBC collaborates with community partners to mobilize resources, finding sustainable solutions that lead to a higher quality of life. COMMUNITY IMPACT INITIATIVES UWBC targets specific community issues with initiatives designed to improve the lives of those in need. UWBC knows we can only win if we are United, and so we rally individuals and corporate partners to give of their time and expertise, providing volunteer opportunities through UWBC events and initiatives year-round. THE COMMUNITY IMPACT FUND UWBC currently funds 47 programs in Brazoria County through collaborations with 32 community partners, giving back over $2 milllion back to the community. It takes an entire community to make a difference, and we need you. United Way of Brazoria County advances the common good. Our pillars of impact focus on education, income, health and basic needs because these are the building blocks for a good quality of life.
