It is considered one of the historical laboratories of the University and School since its oldest predecessor, the “Electrical Laboratory”, was founded in 1911. Formally, it has been operating since 1946 and since then, it is growing and expanding its spectrum of activities. High Voltage Laboratory participates very actively in the whole spectrum of electrical tests and measurements and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and immunity tests/measurements, extending its scope of expertise beyond High Voltage applications to the field of certification and compliance of electric equipment with national and international standards.
