Our mission is to deliver the most advanced and effective intelligence on pathogens in the global battle against infectious diseases. We ultimately aim to change the focus toward prevention by enabling the early detection and characterisation of emerging pathogen threats and rapidly deploying highly targeted interventions. We are addressing one of the world's most pressing challenges and the root cause of a large-scale crisis for the health and wealth of nations: pathogenic bacterial infections. In one generation, resistant bacteria alone are expected to kill 2-3x more people per year than the COVID pandemic, overtake cancer in human morbidity, and cause greater economic damage than the last global financial crisis.
