The Work Department is a women-led design for social impact studio. We design tools, facilitate conversations, and engage people. The Work Department partners with businesses and organizations whose values align with ours—those who prioritize access, equity, and shared respect. Because we believe people are experts in their own lives, listening and adapting are always part of our approach. Through this people-centered process, we translate complex information to be more accessible. We realize greater impact by co-creating with clients and the people they work with. Our team is based in Detroit, Michigan.
