At SCAUW we unite people and resources to impact lives in the Sherburne County area. As a result, we are able to help fund local human service agencies and nonprofits. We also sponsor the iEmpower youth program (K-8) in the Princeton, Elk River Area and Big Lake School Districts. This program is for quiet and shy youth, developing leadership skills, self-reliance, and self-confidence. We hold Community Connect in the fall at the Elk River High School as a way to offer education, resources and services to people in need. Sherburne County Area United Way serves the communities of Big Lake, Elk River, Princeton, Otsego, Santiago and Zimmerman.
