Il Teatro delle Celebrazioni è uno dei cinque teatri più importanti di Bologna. Situato in Via Saragozza, nei pressi del Meloncello, il teatro fu costruito nel 1950, ristrutturato e riaperto al pubblico nel 1997, dopo circa un decennio di inattività. La stagione teatrale generalmente va da ottobre a maggio. La programmazione del teatro è dedicata principalmente ai comici, ai musical e alla danza contemporanea. Occasionalmente il teatro è utilizzato per concerti e come studio per trasmissioni televisive. La sala dispone di quasi mille posti a sedere (968) disposti su due livelli, in platea (788) e in galleria (180). Come capienza è il più grande dei teatri stabili della città, superato solo da strutture polivalenti utilizzate anche per altri tipi di manifestazioni (tra cui eventi sportivi, congressi, proiezioni cinematografiche). Il palcoscenico misura 26 metri in larghezza, 13,50 metri in profondità, 19 in altezza. Il boccascena è 16 metri in larghezza e 9 metri in altezza. As capacity is the largest of permanent theaters in the city, only exceeded by multipurpose facilities used for other types of events ( including sporting events , conferences, film screenings ) .
