Aton Resources Inc. (TSX‐V:AAN) is exploring for gold, silver and base metal deposits in the Central Eastern Desert of Egypt with the aim of developing Egypt's second commercial gold mine. The company holds the 447.7km2 Abu Marawat Concession which hosts a pipeline of over 15 projects from advanced to prospect stage, including two 1900s British gold mines: Sir Bakis and Semna. Aton Resources are currently diamond drilling their Rodruin discovery, results include 88.6m @ 5.76 g/t gold, 42.0 g/t silver, 0.31% copper and 2.40% zinc. Rodruin was the first new gold discovery in Egypt for over 100 years. An infill RC programme has recently been completed at Hamama West, as the company is advancing the project towards development. Centamin’s world-class Sukari gold mine is located only 200 km to the south of Abu Marawat, in the same geological terrane, and the Concession has potential to host analogous gold deposits.
