IGNITE BUILDS POLITICAL AMBITION IN YOUNG WOMEN Why? Because women make up 51% of the population but hold only 20% of elective offices. IGNITE solves this problem by inspiring and training high school and college women to declare their political ambition and ultimately run for office. IGNITE is the only organization in the country providing sustained civic engagement and political leadership training to over 1,200 young women a year. We currently administer programs in California, Texas and Colorado and are expanding nationally in 2016.
