HTRC Industrial Solutions Inc. was founded in 1984 in Sherbrooke, Quebec. The company made its mark in the pulp and paper industry with the JumboMaster®, a computerized system designed to help its customers cut dry-end costs and run a more efficient paper machine. And it works. Mills that installed the JumboMaster® have improved paper machine efficiency by an average of 1.2 percent. The JumboMaster®’s success is based on a unique closed loop process that has been patented in countries around the world. HTRC currently has more than 50 systems installed in paper mills owned by AbitibiBowater, Catalyst, Irving, Domtar, Kruger, White Birch Paper, Suzano, Graphic Packaging, Twin Rivers Paper and Tembec. In 2008, the company launched the JumboMaster® Optimization Service. The focus here is to reduce tear-offs, maximize winder productivity and maintain the best possible performance.
