Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services is based in Harold's Cross, Blackrock and Wicklow Hospices. It is a 215 bed facility for those with a wide range of needs from rehabilitation to end-of-life care. Last year our 600 staff and over 330 volunteers provided person-centred loving care to over 3,800 people both as in-patients and in their own homes. Our teams work closely together to meet the needs of each of our patients, residents and their families. There are three main pillars to our care services 1) Palliative care 2) Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Disease Unit 3) Care of Older Person In addition, the Harold’s Cross site also hosts a purpose-built Education and Research Centre, which comprises a 148-seat lecture theatre, classrooms and offices. In conjunction with a range of colleges, it offers courses in Gerontology, Palliative Care and Rheumatology and a range of healthcare disciplines at masters, graduate and undergraduate levels.
