In a country like India, effective waste management is perpetually realistic. We at Kays don’t look at any capital as unfruitful and follow the ‘zero waste’ principle with optimum resource utilization and product delivery and doing it in a way that it enables growth to cottage industries. Kays was first conceived by Mr. Abbulu Naidu in 1930, as Abbulu Naidu rice and flour mills. Kays as we see it today is the brainchild of Keerthana, his grand daughter. Her abstractions flourished as a master project under her partnership with her friend, Surya, the CMO of the company. Today, Kays is one of its kind and the first of its sort. The motivation for this came from nowhere but Keerthana’s own life. Being a new generation hippie, her lifestyle was not kind to her metabolism. It was a herculean task to find the right thing to eat without her digestive systems being worn out. She discovered that there was a colossal market gap between consumers and healthy food products. This drove her to exploit the trade opportunities in a way that helps the rapidly evolving societies lead a healthier lifestyle. She joined her voice with Surya’s, who is currently the commerce craftsman of Kays, who was constantly on the lookout for refreshing ideas with great potential. Their joint efforts, are what bring the food from farm to table, standardizing the food profile of the communities around us.
