Good Neighbor Center

www.gncnw.org

The Good Neighbor Center is dedicated to providing safe emergency housing with supportive empowering services for families. We work hard to make sure families are off the street and in safe housing. Because of the generous support from our community, we are able to serve roughly 90 families each year. GNC can house nine families at a time. Our goal is to help the families by providing them with guidance and resources to help gain stability and self-sufficiency. At GNC, we also have a housing program called the Housing Stabilization Program (HSP) in which we help families transition into housing and assist them in building and maintaining structure. We serve roughly 25 families in our HSP program. The families that we serve in shelter, eat three meals a day and we also supply food boxes for those who are moving out as well as clients that are in the housing program, all are eligible for assistance from the Good Neighbor Center. We rely on the continued support of the community in order to help assist the homeless families as efficiently as we do. Donations that are needed all year long are men’s/women’s clothes, children’s clothes, shoes, hygiene items, cleaning supplies, household items, furniture (beds, dressers, tables) and any food items (perishable or non-perishable). We are always in need of financial contributions and gift cards for more specific needs.
