The primary objective of the Student and Recent Graduate Committee (SARGC) is to coordinate activities for the SSC's student and recent graduate members and to act as an advocate to the SSC on their behalf. To accomplish this objective, the SARGC is responsible for organizing various events at the SSC Annual Meeting such as the student barbeque and social activities. In addition, we oversee the annual Canadian Statistics Student Conference (CSSC) that takes place the day before the annual meeting. We also maintain resources for students and recent graduates in areas such as accreditation, scholarships, employment, funding opportunities for conferences and workshops, profiles of statisticians, and links to employment opportunities.
