USC Business Technology Group
www.uscbtg.orgBusiness Technology Group is a student organization that brings together Marshall School of Business and Viterbi School of Engineering students, as well as those with non-technical and technical backgrounds. Our mission is to introduce relevant business and technical skills to our members, spread recruitment opportunities, and create a forum for business and engineering students to network and learn from one another. We seek to increase awareness of roles in the tech field and the value of technical skills in the workplace within the Marshall community. By leveraging our historical relationships, building new ones, and leading a diverse officer team, we believe we can achieve these goals. BTG aims to host training workshops where members can be exposed to underrepresented topics such as digital marketing, block chain, and cyber security. Other areas such as entrepreneurship and recruitment skills are topics we have explored in the past. Over the last several months, we have forged contacts with Marshall and Viterbi organizations around these areas and look forward on holding sessions on them in the future. We believe that by cooperating with these organizations we can collectively “grow the pie” for Marshall students by creating opportunities for professional development and bringing in more companies to recruit at USC.
