DI HC was founded in 2007 in close connection to DIT, which was the first Irish club team to ever compete in a major European Cup/Tournament for clubs. Many of their players form the backbone of the current team. Due to the mix of nationalities the club was later named Dublin International HC to highlight our multi-cultural background and to highlight a successful team regardless of ethnic background. Today the team boasts more than 15 nationalities and 19 languages, and we are constantly growing. DI HC is alone, at present, in representing Irish club handball in international competitions and are very proud to represent Ireland. The club has received heavy support from the European Handball Federation and is considered an aspiring handball team.
