CapBuster

www.capbuster.com

CapBuster is a revolutionary new device that incorporates engineering intelligence never before used in angioplasty. It is a guidewire & balloon catheter combination device that, without the addition of our unique patented technology, are used daily in Catheterization Labs around the world. CapBuster has a male screw-thread on the outside of the guidewire and a female screw-thread in the catheter. The catheter is advanced to the occlusion and is inflated to anchor its position in the artery. The guidewire is then inserted into the catheter and advanced to where the screw-threads engage. The male micro-screw-thread on the guidewire engages with the female micro-screw-thread in the catheter and the Clinician rotates the wire, advancing it though the hard, shell-like proximal cap. The addition of the screw-threads provides mechanical advantage to apply gradual, sustained pressure, giving strength in an extremely safe environment. This mechanical advantage provides enough power to penetrate the most resistant occlusion, but with absolute control in the hands of the Clinician that will reduce procedure time, improve safety and efficacy and allow non-specialist CTO Clinicians to help save lives and limbs.
