Almost 25% of Canadian households don't have a single book. Low literacy levels place children at a disadvantage that perpetuates poverty. First Book Canada’s mission is to transform the lives of children in need by improving access to educational opportunities. The First Book Canada network contains over 13,500 members of educators exclusively serving children in need.
