When the Albany Ad Club was founded in 1961, we were the bees knees. Advertising professionals across the region looked to us as their primary source for networking, continuing education and social activities. Ours was a membership with purpose.But a funny thing happened when the Internet came to town, people started working online. Talking online. Learning online. Networking online. Face-to-face was replaced with screen-to-screen. And we didn’t feel quite so special anymore. It was time for reflection. So, we took a step back and assessed the situation. We spoke with our members, we evaluated our programs, and we adjusted our mission. The result? CRAF. Capital Region Advertising Federation is the voice of an entire industry. A collective that welcomes every facet of the communications community, CRAF is the thread that weaves together our ever-expanding field. By recommitting ourselves to what we do best — supporting, educating and promoting our membership — CRAF is providing our industry with a much-needed platform of understanding, respect and dialogue. Because working together — face-to-face — is the only way to keep our industry strong. We have our purpose.
