Small Business Roundtable

www.smallbusinessroundtable.org

The Small Business Roundtable (SBR) is a coalition of leading small business and entrepreneurship organizations, dedicated to advancing policy, securing access, and promoting inclusion to benefit the businesses at the heart of the American economy. Who Are We? Members of the Roundtable are organizations committed to improving the entrepreneurial environment. We envision small business organizations, collectively advocating for more than 30 million American small businesses. Why is SBR needed? Over the past decade, successive Administrations, Congress, trade associations, and the private sector have recognized the growing influence of small business advocacy. The advent of new organizations has built on the experience of well-established players in Washington. Nonetheless, the small business policy agenda is all too often an afterthought, taking a back seat to rhetoric. Small Business Roundtable aims to coalesce the membership, reputation, and influence of the collective small business community around three core offerings to its partners: policy, access, and inclusion. Policy SBR will work with member organizations to identify consensus policy priorities and advance those through government affairs and strategic communications in a non-partisan manner. Access SBR will secure meetings, briefings, conference calls, etc. to have direct discussions with policymakers and key stakeholders. These engagements will be focused on conveying our priorities to leaders. Inclusion While “small business” makes for great rhetoric, its advocates are oftentimes not included in major policy decisions. The leading goal of this coalition is to change that narrative and ensure our voice--the collective voice of our members--is not only heard but asked for.
