The purpose of L.I.G.H.T Mentoring is to challenge youth to become zealous in transforming within themselves to become great leaders. The program redirects and advises those who require support in everyday living through social and emotional learning. We challenge youth to be leaders in school and social environments while being positive citizens within their communities, diverting from gang violence, teen pregnancies, criminal activities, and other negative stereotypes within the inner-city neighborhoods. L.I.G.H.T encourages youth to use their skills and knowledge to evolve into productive adults for the future. L.I.G.H.T was established to provide an open and affirming environment with no implicit biases. We allow all to utilize their leadership ability in their communities and schools by partnering with like-minded organizations to provide the best support.
