ERgent is an app that uses your GPS location and combines it with our “Door to Doctor” algorithm to help you locate the emergency department with not only the shortest average wait time to see a doctor, but also with optimal quality of care and medical specialties. The algorithm uses data collected from Medicare and Medicaid, and focuses on signs and symptoms that are specifically designed for emergency rooms, rather than those that are more hospital or surgical based. Emergency department wait times have always been the crux of the ER, so our algorithm helps streamline care for the benefit of both the patient and the hospital. Our curated database is continuously updated and re-analyzed - allowing users to finally make educated and up to date decisions about emergency departments. ERgent has 3 options: ERgent's Recommendation: This option uses our uniquely designed "Door to Doctor" algorithm and the user's GPS location to locate the emergency department with a combination of the best average wait time and highest quality of care. The average wait times is how long it takes for the patient to see a physician (not simply get a room in the ER!), and the quality of care has a specific focus on values that pertain to emergency department care. Symptoms: Here, ERgent has 3 symptoms - head, heart, and pain. These are designed with values for specific symptomatic treatment, so we made sure that the emergency departments with the most outstanding numbers and good wait times are chosen first here. Location: This option allows you to place any address in the United States, and see which hospitals will come up under ERgent's algorithm.
