First and foremost Meir Panim feeds Israel's hungry children, families and Holocaust survivors. Unfortunately 1.7m Israelis - equivalent to 22% of the population - live below the poverty line. MEIR PANIM PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING SERVICES ANNUALLY: 500,000 hot meals are served across 6 Food Centres. 5,300 Food Shopping Cards as well as almost 100,000 Food Packages are distributed. 160 children regularly attend a Meir Panim After School Club and over 67,000 hot school meals are served. 189,000 meals on wheels are delivered as well as 15,000 challas for Shabbat. 60 youth at-risk in 3 different locations across the country are attending Vocational Training Courses. 7,500 families benefit from 3 Power of Giving warehouses across Israel.
