We want to reframe the narrative when it comes to doing business in Africa. The Danish-African Business Association (DABA) was founded in 2020 by 5 prominent members of the Danish business community - all experienced in conducting business on the African continent. We see Africa as a place with untapped and unrivalled economic potential; a growing population, increasingly tech-literate societies, a burgeoning middle class and a vibrant, entrepreneurial spirit all contribute to why over the next decade, Africa will play a much larger role on the international stage. Despite promising developments, there are still many outdated preconceptions about the African business environment. Our mission at DABA is to change these preconceptions by serving as a bridge between Danish and African business communities, as well as promoting business opportunities on the continent. Through facilitation, information, advisory and advocacy work, we aim to increase trade between Denmark, the Nordics and Africa in a more secure and efficient manner, and in a way that all parties can mutually benefit.
