MIT Institute Of Design is a leading center for Design learning and research in India. Founded by leading Design educators and practitioners of India , MIT ID is part of the MAEER's which itself is a reputed name in education field. MIT ID is located in the sprawling lush green campus spread over 125 acres at Rajbaug on Pune-Solapur road. MIT ID aims to create a design community which will cater not only to the big industry but also to the small scale and rural industries and handicrafts. It has a social goal of developing, encouraging rural design and products for the needy and the large disadvantaged population in India. Education at MIT Institute of Design has been thought in a very broad manner to belong to three domains of Sadhan(Skill), Sadhana(Knowledge) and Sadhya(Solution). MIT ID offers undergraduate and post graduate program in Industrial, Communication and Fashion design with various specializations in each discipline.
