The company was founded in 1955 in La Spezia, from the union of six shipowners who conferred each its own steam tug, obtaining in 1956 the towing service licence. Thanks to its geographical position, La Spezia port supplies the big markets of North Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Germany through motorways and railways connections and the ports of Asia, America, Africa and the Middle East through maritime connections. In order to answer to an increasingly demanding market, the Company renewed its fleet completely by purchasing azimuthal tugs which are extremely powerful and manoeuvrable and they offer a timely, efficient, safe and reliable service with a low environmental impact. In the last years the company got some certificates for its management systems, ISO 9001, for quality management system, ISO 14001, for environmental management system, and OHSAS 18001, for health and safety management system.
