Fondation d’Alep (The Aleppo Foundation) is a charity organization based and registered in Quebec. Our charity was founded in March 2015 by the initiative of a group of young Montrealers of Aleppian origins who felt the need to establish a community organization to support the growing number of Syrians arriving to Montreal. Our current team is comprised of only volunteers of all ages and different areas of expertise who share the same values of humanity, community service and empathy. Our mission is to serve the newly arrived Syrians in Montreal financially and through community and cultural actions. We seek to assist them in their transition and to provide them with the opportunities that will allow them to pursue their dreams and aspirations. Fondation d'Alep also aims to foster a sense of community where newly arrived Syrians can feel secure and supported in order to grow and succeed. Our goal is to empower them and to encourage them in becoming active citizens of Montreal’s community.
