We empower the black community to unite around ideas that matter to them and make those ideas come to life. We incorporate and acknowledge the unique experiences, cultures, collective influence, and voices of Black people and culture in Canada. U Power Up has a black-centric perspective: black-beneficiaries, black-focused, black-led, and black-serving. U power Up is a black-beneficiaries organization. We support causes that affect the black community by offering services and programs that react to the community's different cultural identities, history, and needs; and have black beneficiaries and services. U power Up is a black-focused organization. We provide culturally appropriate programs and services. Our organization's leadership table includes black leaders, and we frequently collaborate with black-led organizations. U power Up has black-led governance and leadership. We mandated to serve the Black community with services centered on identity by black leadership (including employees, executives, governance). Black-serving UpowerUp Canada has the mandate to help Black Canadians.
