NGO "Women Economic Empowerment Platform" was created based on the She Exports Platform, which was launched in 2017 to support women entrepreneurs, the development of women's entrepreneurship and international trade, in order to increase Ukraine's export potential. The co-founders of the NGO as well as of the She Exports Platform were - Nataliya Mykolska, Advisor to the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine 2015-2018, - Maryana Kahanyak, Advisor to the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Head of the Export Promotion Office (2015-2018). For almost two years, the She Exports Platform activities have been implemented by the experts of the Export Promotion Office, an advisory and consultative body to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, and it has been supported by the technical assistance to the Government of Canada, in particular, the Expert Deployment for Governance and Economic Growth (EDGE) Project. From December 2018, She Exports Platform started its path as an independent project and in the summer of 2019, it was transformed into the NGO "Women Economic Empowerment Platform". It is evolving in accordance with the international obligations of Ukraine, stated in the Declaration of Women Empowerment in the WTO's Trade and Economic Sphere, which Ukraine has signed on December 12, 2017. Ambassadors of She Exports Platform are Elena Kosharna, Nadezhda Vasilieva, and Irina Rubis.
