Motor City Sea Farm imports 12-day old post-larvae Pacific White shrimp (PL's) from a hatchery near Ft. Myers, Florida. It raises the shrimp indoors for approximately 150 days in large 4,200 gallon tanks at its facility in Detroit, Michigan. Motor City Sea Farm does not use any hormones, antibiotics nor artificial chemicals. It's shrimp are raised in an environmentally freindly , sustainable manner recycling water and filtering waste using only natural methods. Once the shrimp are market-size, Motor City Sea Farm harvests and sells the fresh, whole shrimp by the pound at its farm location and at local farmers markets.
