The Modern Agriculture Foundation (MAF) is a non-profit organization committed to advancing the alternative protein ecosystem in Israel and beyond. Based in Israel, our mission is to support entrepreneurs to the alternative protein industry, replacing animal-based proteins with cultured meat, fermentation-based products and plant-based alternatives and networking with stakeholders of the local and global alternative plant protein ecosystem, creating a constructive environment for collaborations with complement organizations, & nurturing early-stage startups developing substitutes for traditional meat, dairy and egg products. We began our journey by developing prestigious events leveraging our extensive network to connect professionals and investors, pro bono consultations, and contribution of resources, knowledges and experience. Our core contribution focuses on innovation, networking, communication, dissemination, development and entrepreneurship. The organization is steered by female executives in Israel, lead by CEO Levana Shifman, committed to advancing the Alternative Protein ecosystem in Israel and beyond. We are currently connected to the whole Israeli food-tech ecosystem. Latest MAF's Activities: Published the Alternative Proteins IL 2021 magazine, mapping out the local ecosystem, including features and reviews from various service providers, leading foodtech hubs & the Israel Innovation Authority.
