At Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon (PPSO), our goal is to help build the healthiest generation ever by creating communities of healthy young people, healthy parents, and healthy families. PPSO has been a vital part of Southwestern Oregon for 47 years, providing our clients with the important health services and information they need to be safe and healthy, prevent unintended pregnancies, and to plan for families when they are ready. Our expert health services include lifesaving breast and cervical cancer screenings, well-woman annual exams, contraceptive counseling and services, STD testing, prevention, and treatment, HPV vaccines, and more. Abortion care represents less than 2% of PPSO’s health services. At our seven health centers in Lane, Jackson, and Josephine Counties, we serve over 25,000 clients with 40,000+ visits each year. PPSO is also the region’s most respected provider of developmentally-appropriate and medically accurate sexuality education for youth and adults, as well as training for professionals who work with youth and families. Our education programs reach nearly 25,000 participants each year and help to transform the lives of youth in our communities through direct education, positive youth development, and leadership training programs. Youth are an integral part of PPSO’s mission, and support every area of the organization. We are able to do all this thanks to generous giving from our many supportive community members.
