Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter that has been serving people and pets since 1929. Our mission is to save and enhance lives – both four-legged and two-legged. Through compassion and collaboration, we are building a community in Silicon Valley where every pet has a home. We offer quality adoptions, affordable spaying/neutering, vaccinations and microchip services, pet care services and education programs to enhance the human-animal bond. HSSV has adopted more than 500,000 animals into permanent, loving homes. We are the first Animal Community Center in the nation to receive Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Our Neighborhood Adoption Centers in Petco Sunnyvale and Petco West San Jose help us serve adopters across the South Bay. HSSV is a non-profit organization supported by individual donations, program fees, foundation and corporate grants, and special events.
