Nectar Yoga Retreat
www.nectaryoga.caWe found the fruits of awakening on an Indian train ride heading in the opposite direction of where we thought we wanted to be going. Our quest to explore ancient methods of self-awareness from around the world became a life-changing journey of ashram emersion, a doctrine in the Raja Yoga system and a deep appreciation for the natural world and connecting to our inner rhythms. Seeing the countryside and its characteristic sense of community and simplistic living made us yearn for a similar experience back home in Canada. One that maintains a connection to nature, yoga and meditation practices. A transcendental, healing experience that nourishes body and spirit. It became our mission to create a place of asana and prana. One that awakens, nourishes, and welcomes visitors from around the world. And thus, Nectar was born. We returned home to the west coast of Canada and created both a home for ourselves as well as a sacred space for others to come and find themselves in the peace of the forest. We started small in 2011. Our passion and belief in the importance of what we were offering shone so brightly with authenticity that our community grew organically through word-of-mouth and over the years, we were able to expand in size. A few years and many lessons later we had outgrown our first location and rebuilt Nectar Yoga from the ground up. With the help of family, friends and an amazing kula, we relocated to a beautiful forested property with more space to welcome guests. We are so fortunate to have found our path here, along with so many supportive souls walking along the way with us. From dreaming to planning, to pen to paper, to wood and nails, we shaped Nectar in our vision, Now, how will you shape it in yours?
